Photography from "Somebody's Boudoir, Somebody's Abattoir" Series
This photograph is a search. A search for beauty where it seems impossible to find. Where flesh becomes a subject of trade, I look for the soul. Where the body becomes merchandise, I seek the essence of life that once inhabited it.
The frame captures a moment of pause between life and commodity. This is not shock for shock's sake – it's a meditation on transformation, on how quickly the sacred becomes mundane in our consumer world. The beauty here is not in the obvious, but in the ability to see beyond the surface.
At Divot, where culinary art reaches its heights, this photograph asks: what separates art from craft, beauty from function? The answer lies not in the subject, but in the gaze. In the ability to find poetry even where it seems absent. This is my manifesto – beauty exists everywhere, you just need to know how to look.
If this work resonates in your heart and you would like it to become part of your space, we can discuss the details of acquisition personally.
