Bronze, Semi-precious stones
These two bronze forms are my meditation on the theme of the beginning of everything. Ovum adorned with semi-precious stones, like cosmic capsules harboring the potential of the universe. I created them in 2016, contemplating the Last Supper as a moment of the birth of a new era. But here there are no apostles — only primordial forms of life, ready for division and multiplication. The turquoise patina reminds us of the waters of the primeval ocean, where life was born.
Each stone in these sculptures is a possibility, an unmanifested destiny. They shimmer like sturgeon roe served in the world's finest restaurants. In the Divot space, these works acquire special meaning: here, where flesh and its transformation are celebrated, my "Ovum" speak of the eternal cycle — from conception to consumption, from seed to harvest.
These sculptures seek a home where their cosmic silence will be heard. Contact me if you feel their call — let's discuss how they can become part of your universe.
