DIVOT EXHIBITION 2025

Hangers: Boy and Girl Models

Medium: Bronze

Year: 2003

Series: Individual Work

Subtitle: "Boobs Above All"

In 2003 I created these coat racks as an ironic manifesto about what truly holds the world together. Two figures — boy and girl — writhe in a dance of functionality and absurdity. Their bodies have become hooks for others' clothes, but look closer: in the curves of bronze you can read ecstasy, not submission. The title "Tits Rule the World" is my laughter at how society fetishizes body parts, turning them into hangers for their projections.

The patina on bronze creates a sense of antiquity — as if these figures were already dancing in primitive caves, holding mammoth skins upon themselves. But they are modern in their frankness: body as instrument, body as art, body as irony about itself. In a space where flesh becomes delicacy, my coat racks remind us: we all wear each other like clothing.

If you're ready to hang your masks and coats on the shoulders of my bronze dancers, let's discuss what wardrobe would suit them better — and what price you're willing to pay for honesty.
